Dual Credit Parent Information Session - January 21st

The Comox Valley Schools Careers Department is excited to host an information evening around Dual Credit Academic certificate programs and courses, and Youth Train in Trade programs, which are available to all grade 12 students across the district. The event is open to all students, parents and community members who are interested in learning more about early entry opportunities for high school students to complete college level courses while still in high school. The credits are fully transferable to institutions across BC.
 
Please join us on January 21st in the G.P. Vanier multipurpose from;
 
6:15pm - 7:00pm for Academic opportunities
7:15pm - 8:00pm for Trades opportunities

Grade 7 Try A Trade begins this October....

Elementary Try- A-Trade Starts in October when every grade 7 class at each Elementary School will come to Sandwick Technical School.  On this day, groups of students will sample a trade.  Trades explored this day include; carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, baking, masonry.

As September Roles around a number of SD71 students will be attending North Island College this fall as part of the ITA's Trades Train Program. If the student is involved in Trades Train during secondary school, their tuition would be covered by the school district. For more information contact your secondary school careers department....
